About us

Burnett & Herbert was founded in 2019 by Edward Burnett and Christopher Herbert. With a combined 35 years’ experience in the fine wine trade, they bring a wealth of knowledge to the company.

B&H is primarily a wholesaler of fine wines for private and trade customers in the UK and around the world. We specialise in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone, Champagne and Vintage Port, along with an increasing offering from Italy, Spain and Portugal.

We have particularly strong links with some of the very best producers in Portugal along with rising stars of the future.

We strive to offer the best personal service in the business ensuring clients are offered a bespoke experience according to their requirements.

Fine wines

Storage

Many of our clients choose to store wines with us. Storage charges are currently £12.50 per 12 bottle case per annum + VAT or £6.25 per 6 bottle case, which includes full insurance up to their replacement value.

All wines are stored at London City Bond’s Dinton warehouse, a world class wine storage facility.

Whether building a collection for immediate consumption, stocking for the future or for investment, we have considerable experience with advising and tailoring portfolios to clients’ specific requirements.

Selling wines to us

Here at Burnett & Herbert, we are always looking to purchase well cellared wines and wine collections which have been held duty paid or under bond.

We can arrange for the collection of the wines or assist with the transfer of wines from other bonded warehouses should you require it.

Our aim is to make the selling process as straightforward as possible, while ensuring that payment is made quickly once wines have arrived with us and been inspected.
